Sony Pictures Answers the Phone for The Caller
According to Variety Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions has nabbed North American rights to Matthew Parkhill's supernatural ghost story The Caller. The film, once a Brittany Murphy vehicle before her untimely death, now stars Rachelle Lefevre, Stephen Moyer, and Luis Guzman. Dig on the goods after the plot crunch.
Writer/director Matthew Parkhill's new mystery thriller 'The Caller' has had its North American rights picked up by Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions. Maybe part due to the interesting concept for the film , or perhaps it has something to do with its top billing pair of stars. 'Twilight' star hottie Rachelle Lefevre and 'True Blood's Stephen Moyer lead the cast. Luis Guzman, Lorna Rayer ('Drag Me to Hell'), Ed Quinn and Marise Alvarez also star.
Synopsis
"When troubled divorcee Mary Kee begins to receive mysterious phone calls from an unknown caller, she quickly begins to feel haunted in her own home. When she discovers that the person is calling from the past, Mary realizes that she will have to kill her in order to survive, but how do you kill someone living in the past, and what will happen if she fails?
